I wanted to start off this post by stating what my intentions are. I am by no means trying to brag about how far I’ve come, or trying to bring attention to how much I’ve improved over the years (honestly I still have a looong way to go). I’m posting this so I can help inspire a photographer who is just starting out… to push yourself to get better. I was in your place, and I completely understand the frustration. My point is to encourage you! I remember seeing a photographer post their ‘first photo shoot pictures,’ and I would feel inspired. Why, because they started off the same way I did. There’s no magical potion you can take where the next morning you wake up and become some world famous photographer. It takes work, hard work. There’s days you want to quit, and give up being a photographer. But keeping pushing yourself, and let nothing stop you. Nothing! Hard work pays off!
Alright, my pep talk is over. : ) Here’s a little background info. I won’t go too far into detail of how I got into photography because that’s for another planned blog post. I had my first ‘official’ paid photo shoot when I was 15, back in 2009, and then I shot my first wedding the next summer when I was 16, in 2010.
Here are a little before an afters…..
This was my first paid shoot back in October of 2009!
A shoot this past year….
My very first wedding I shot! The summer of 2010.

Thank you for all of those who believed in me when I first started out. For trusting a 15-16 year old with your memories! You’ve help me more than you know.
