Ashley & Scott | Downtown Detroit Wedding at the Whiskey Factory

Truthfully, I could write a million sentences describing not only how amazing Ashley and Scott are but how amazing their wedding day was, too! I actually photographed Ashley’s sisters wedding almost two years ago, so when I received an email from Ashley asking me to photograph her wedding day, I couldn’t have been more excited or honored. Whenever I photograph multiple family members weddings, I always tease that now I’m officially part of the family. Well, Ashley’s family made us feel like family all day, we’re so thankful for them! Ashley and Scott truly have the biggest hearts and are so down to earth. It was an absolute joy getting to know them better this past year!

With the help of her mom and sisters, Ashley prepared for her wedding day overlooking the skyline of Detroit. Her bridal portraits are some of my favorite portraits from the wedding day! It was such an emotional time as Ashley gave gifts to her parents. Soon after, we headed to Old St. Mary’s cathedral, where her and Scott officially became husband and wife!

Ashley and Scott put such a high priority on their wedding photos, so we had so much fun adventuring around Downtown Detroit! We stopped traffic in the middle of the street, got caught in a rainstorm and ended our portrait time with sunset on a rooftop! To end the day, Ashley and Scott danced the night away underneath the twinkly lights at the Whiskey Factory. From start to finish, the whole entire day was perfect!

To the newlyweds, you two are the best! I just adore you both and I feel so incredibly honored to have been a part of your wedding day. Your wedding day was nothing short of amazing and I cannot wait for you to see these photos!
