Emily & Cody | Blush and Green Winter Wedding in Downtown Detroit
This past Saturday, I spent leap day celebrating with Emily and Cody as they officially became husband and wife at the Grosse Point War Memorial! For Emily and Cody, it all began on Tinder. They both swiped right, and well, the rest was history! Saturday was such a day to remember, and these two were surrounded by so much love. It’s so evident how many people love Emily and Cody are it was such a joy to capture it all. Emily wore the most gorgeous blush ballgown. She looked like an absolute princess, and paired with Cody’s emerald green tux, these two couldn’t have been any more perfect! Just wait until you see their bride and groom portraits.
It’s always so hard to narrow down favorite parts of the wedding day, but if I had to choose three moments it would be these — Emily shares such a close bond with her family, and there’s nothing sweeter than being able to capture a family’s bond on a wedding day. Before walking down the aisle, Emily shared a first look with her dad, and it was a moment that brought tears to everyone’s eyes! Another favorite moment of the day would the moment that Emily and Cody were pronounced husband and wife for the first time. It’s always a time filled with so much joy, and I love the smiles on their faces. And lastly, Emily and Cody had several speeches are their wedding reception, and listening to their closest family and friends speak so highly of them was the sweetest. It was a moment filled with lots of laughs and tears!
Emily and Cody, I hope you two are having the best time on your honeymoon! I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to capture your wedding day. It was such a dream, and I feel so honored to have been a part of it. I cannot wait for you to see these photos!!
