Allison and David’s Grosse Pointe War Memorial engagement session is the perfect way to start off a pretty week on the blog! These two actually live in Florida, so the first time I met them was at the session, and I had such a fun time hanging out with them. The weather forecast was predicating rain, so Allison and I were eyeing the weather forecast and radar all morning! Thankfully, we had a few hour gap of no rain, and so we moved up the session!
One thing I’ve learned the past eights years of shooting weddings and engagements is that weather forecast is often wrong, and sometimes it’ll rain in the middle of portraits! And you know what?! That’s 1000% okay. About halfway through the session it started to rain, but the Grosse Pointe War Memorial was the perfect place for rainy portraits! There are several covered walkways and the most amazing library, so we spent part of the session take photos inside while waiting for the rain to pass. Regardless of the unpredictable weather, I am so happy with these images and I can’t wait for you all to see them! Allison and David are clearly one gorgeous couple, so narrowing down a few for the blog post was one tough job.
I already cannot wait to have these two in front of my camera for their Downtown Detroit wedding next October! It’s going to be nothing short of amazing, and I’m so honored to be apart of it!
