This past Saturday, Caroline and Mike were married at Drakewood Farm on the most perfect 70-degree day in Nashville, Tennesee! Truthfully, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or a more beautiful location. They were married at sunset in the woods surrounded by all of their closest family and friends, who traveled from all over the globe to be there for them.

Caroline and Mike incorporated so many incredibly meaningful details throughout their wedding day! She used a handkerchief that was 100 years old, and one of my favorite aspects was the veil that Caroline wore. It was made from her great great great grandmother’s Victorian wedding dress, and it’s been worn by several generations of women in her family! The moment that Caroline looked in the mirror and saw herself wearing that veil was unforgettable.

Later in the afternoon, Caroline and Mike shared their first look! And let me tell you, it was the sweetest. Mike even surprised Caroline with a handwritten card during the first look! These two also have the cutest puppy ever, and he made an appearance before the ceremony for a few pictures. Being a fellow dog mom, those images are some of my favorites!!

Caroline is one of the most personable people you will ever meet! She mentioned that she wanted her wedding vendors to feel like friends and not just vendors… how sweet is that?! When I meet her at the rehearsal the day before, I instantly felt like we’ve known each other for years. Caroline has that way of making people feel so welcomed! She even surprised us with donuts the morning of her wedding!! She and Mike are such a genuine and down to earth couple.

To the newlyweds, thank you so much for having me come to Nashville to capture your wedding day! It was such an honor, and I’m so thankful that our paths crossed. I hope you cherish these images for decades to come! Can’t wait for you to see these images!
