Oh, where to even begin with Chelsea and Jason’s wedding at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial?! My words will not accurately describe how incredible their day was. Their wedding is a new favorite of mine, so be prepared to scroll through lots of pretty photos below!
It truly feels like yesterday that I first met up with Chelsea and Jason at a coffee shop in Downtown Detroit one winter to chat about their wedding. I knew from that meeting that these two were going to be amazing to work with and I was definitely right! Chelsea and Jason have this incredible way about them. They are so welcoming and make everyone who cross paths with them feel like they’ve known them for years! And that was truly evident on their wedding day.
On the day of the wedding, the forecast didn’t look too promising. Rain was in predicted right during our portrait time and ceremony, but Chelsea and Jason fully embraced the rain and decided to move forward with an outdoor ceremony and portraits outside. Everyone gathered on the back lawn with umbrellas and witnessed Chelsea and Jason officially become husband and wife…rain or shine! It was truly one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve been a part of. Regardless of the rain, these two were filled with SO much joy!
Chelsea and Jason have an incredible support system of family and friends. Their families were included in every aspect of their day, and photographing it was one of the highlights of the day! From the getting ready portion of the day to the speeches and dances it all was perfect.
Mr. and Mrs. Matney, I am so thankful for you both! You guys are an incredible couple, and I feel so, so honored to have been a part of your wedding. I wish you two nothing but the best as you start this new journey as husband and wife!
