After taking several weeks off from blogging, I’m so happy to be back at it! Wedding season and engagement sessions are back in full swing, and let’s just say I’m one happy photographer!

By nature, I’m not an early riser, but I will hands down wake up early for sunrise sessions! When Chelsea and Vince mentioned that they wanted to do a sunrise engagement in Downtown Detroit this spring, I was SO excited. Sunrise sessions are one of my favorite times for sessions for two reasons- one of the reasons being the light and the other reason being that we had all of Downtown Detroit to ourselves!

Chelsea, Vince and I met at the top of a rooftop this past Sunday just as the sun was starting to rise, and I about jumped up and down with excitement! Once you see these images you’ll know exactly why.. the light was INCREDIBLE!! Not only that, but Chelsea and Vince are such naturals in front of the camera. They are adorable!

I have to share Chelsea and Vince’s proposal story, because it’s so sweet and sentimental! These two were building a house together, and this past December they went to do a walkthrough at the house with their families. Once at the house, Vince got down on one knee, and asked Chelsea to marry him!!
