For us Midwest photographers, the winter season is usually a slower time of the year for weddings and engagements, and this winter, I’ve been loving all of these engagement sessions! There’s always something so cozy and romantic about winter photos.

About two weeks ago, I traveled to Chicago for an engagement session for one of my 2019 couples! Chicago is always one of my favorite places, and I love being able to shoot in the city. Ellen and Ross decided on the Alder Planetarium for the first part of their engagement session, and I could not believe how amazing the views of the city were from there! Such a dream and you all know how excited I am about those photos! Ellen wore the most stunning dress, which went perfectly with the city backdrop. From there, we ventured to the Field Museum to end the session!

Ellen and Ross are such a gorgeous couple, and I couldn’t be more excited to be working with them this year! They are so much fun to be around, and I loved getting to know them during their session. And you know you have the absolute best couples when they bring you donuts and book their wedding date around your schedule! Seriously do not deserve my couples, and I’m so thankful for Ellen and Ross! Their Chicago wedding later this year is going to be nothing short of amazing, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.
