I first met Heather and Matt at the Christmas markets in Union Square during one of my trips to New York back in December 2016! We introduced ourselves and then we all sat on a park bench and chatted about their story and their Pittsburgh wedding at the Hotel Monaco in May 2018! At the time, their wedding day seemed so distant that I can hardly believe it’s already over!

From the moment I met Heather and Matt, I knew these two were the real deal! You can tell that these two have such a deep connection, and that they were meant to be. Their love story definitely confirms that, and it is one good story!

These two actually went to the University of Pittsburgh, but their paths never crossed until they attended an alumni event in New York City! I always love telling this part of the story, because like I mentioned earlier, Heather and Matt are just meant to be together. Anyways…Matt actually emailed Heather the day after the alumni event asking her out, BUT she never received the email. Matt took it as Heather not being interested.

Years later Heather and Matt reconnected again, and let’s just say that rest is history! Since Heather never received Matt’s initial email, Matt actually went way back into his email archives to prove to Heather that he asked her out years ago haha! Isn’t that the cutest?

Heather and Matt’s wedding was a timeless, intimate affair in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh! Since the University of Pittsburgh is what originally brought Heather and Matt together, it was the perfect place for their wedding day! Their wedding day was such an incredible representation of them as a couple. It was timeless, sophisticated and elegant!

Heather and Matt, where to even begin?! What an incredible opportunity it was to capture your wedding day. Thank you for entrusting me and sending me to Pittsburgh to capture these moments for you both! I just adore you two, and to say I’m obsessed with these images is an understatement. I truly hope you cherish these images for decades to come!!
