I’m literally at a loss of words for how amazing Katie and Dan’s Downtown Detroit engagement session was! Once you see these images, you’ll know why!

I still remember when I received Katie’s initial email back in December. She wrote the sweetest email talking about Dan, her now fiancé, and their vision for their wedding day! I knew from that very first email that I just had to work with these two. Thankfully, that has become a reality, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with her and Dan! Katie is also an incredibly talented photographer, and there really is no greater honor then photographing another photographer.

Katie and Dan have known each other since middle school, and were friends throughout high school. But, it wasn’t until after high school that these two started dating! Now, three years later, their getting married!!

Since both Katie and Dan are from Grand Rapids, they drove two and a half hours this past Tuesday for their engagement session with me in Detroit. I love that I could show them around my favorite city! Starting off with Belle Isle and ending running (literally) around to my favorite spots in the city.

What I absolutely love about these photos is that they authentically represent Katie and Dan as a couple! You see, these two are SO adorable, fun to be around, and incredibly in love. They have the kindest hearts… so much so that you can see that through these images! Basically, I want to become best friends with them!
