Family means absolutely everything to Katie and John! It was so evident throughout the whole entire wedding day. Katie and John didn’t make their wedding day about themselves, but rather they made it about all of their family and friends! Katie grew up around the Detroit area, and she met John in the Washinton DC area, so to have all of their family and friends in one place meant so much to both of them. One of my many favorite parts of John and Katie’s wedding day was when they had both of their parents come up and pray over them! It was such a powerful and emotional moment, and another way that John and Katie involved family their family into their day.

From start to finish, Katie and John’s wedding day was so classic! The Westin Book Cadillac is one of Detroit’s finest venues, and it truly was the perfect place for their Downtown Detroit wedding. Katie looked like a timeless dream in her Essence of Australia beaded satin gown, and the look on Johns’ face when he first saw her says it all! John and Katie are so fun to be around, that we completely forgot about how cold it was during portraits. Truth is, I’m still dreaming about how good Saturday was, so I’m so excited to share these images with you all!

Mr. and Mrs. Schreck, I truly can’t thank you both enough for choosing me to capture your wedding day! I still don’t have the words to fully explain how amazing your wedding day was. I have so many favorite images that I am SO incredibly excited for you to see!!
