Kelly and Mike were friends in high school, but it wasn’t until several years later that these two reconnected and this past month these two were married at Willowbrook Mill in Northern Michigan! Mike and Kelly moved to Northern Michigan a couple years ago for Mike’s job, and they knew they wanted a Northern Michigan wedding, so that they could share their new home with their family and friends! Truthfully, there isn’t anything like Northern Michigan. It’s one of the most beautiful places, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for their wedding!

Their wedding day was filled with so many emotions! Kelly and Mike have been through so much together, and witnessing their commitment and love for each other was inspiring. During their ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! From the speeches to the first dances, it was all so sweet and emotional.

Rain has been somewhat of a theme this wedding season, and on Kelly and Mike’s wedding day the weather predicated quite the rain storm right in the middle of our portrait time! But guess what?! We were able to take all of our portraits on the most beautiful beach right before the rain came!

Kelly and Mike are amazing!! Kelly walked over 100 steps down a side of a dune in her wedding dress for the beach portraits (all while looking flawless), and then her and Mike ran around an orchard in the RAIN for sunset. I don’t know what I did to deserve such trusting and incredible clients! But I’m so thankful that they trusted me, because those photos are some of my favorites.

Mr. and Mrs. Bartle, you guys are seriously the best! I feel so blessed to have crossed path with you and to have captured your wedding day. Everything was amazing and I cannot wait for you to see these photos! I hope you two are having the best time on your honeymoon!
