Victoria and John’s Greek wedding at the Harvard Club of New York City was one I’ll never forget! As soon as I walked into the family home that Victoria was getting ready in, I was welcomed with opened arms. They instantly made me feel like I was apart of the family! It was only fitting that My Big Fat Greek Wedding was playing in the background as Victoria was finishing up hair and makeup. The morning was filled with so much emotion as Victoria and John both read handwritten notes from each other! It was only the beginning of some of the sweetest and most emotional moments I was about to photograph.
Their traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony was filled with lots of happy tears! One of my favorite moments from the ceremony was the Stefana, which is when the crowns were placed on their heads! Later on towards the end of the ceremony, the priest welcomed the parents of Victoria and John up. Lots of tears were shed as they all hugged one another!
After the ceremony, Victoria, John and I adventured around the streets of Manhattan for portraits and I’ll never forget us stopping traffic in the middle of 5th Avenue! Those photos are some of my favorites from the day. To celebrate, their family and friends joined them at the Harvard Club for dinner and Greek dancing, which was the best way to end such an incredible day!
Victoria and John, I can’t thank you two enough for being so welcoming! You both are so genuine and down to earth, and I’ve loved every second of working with you both. Everything was so amazing, and I can’t wait for you to see these photos!
