My love for Downtown Detroit weddings runs deep, my friends! They will always be some of my all-time favorites. There’s something about them that are so classic, timeless and romantic! Let’s just say that Jackie and Kenny’s wedding was no exception. We started off their day with a first look in the Belle Isle Conservatory! It was the perfect location for Jackie and Kenny to share a private, intimate moment together before the rest of the day began. I’ve shared my love for first looks in the past, but they seriously are THE best! We were able to travel to a few of my favorite places in Downtown Detroit, and we were finished with all of the portraits BEFORE the ceremony. How amazing is that? Jackie wore an intricately laced dress by Martina Liana, which was practically made for her – it was perfect! Jackie also chose gold sequined Badgley Mischka for her girls to wear, and when paired with the Detroit skyline it looked AMAZING!
After the first look and portraits, we headed to the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament for their wedding ceremony! I am always such a sucker for old, historical cathedrals, and Most Blessed Sacrament has the most incredible architecture. Jackie and Kenny’s ceremony was traditional, yet so personal. I loved it! From there, about 200 of Jackie and Kenny’s closest friends all headed to The Colony Club for their reception to celebrate.
Jackie and Kenny, you two were seriously such a joy to get to know! I loved being able to be a part of such an incredible day. I have so many favorite parts of your day! Thank you for choosing me to capture it, and for being so kind and gracious!
