A couple weeks ago, Brad and I traveled to Northern Michigan for a wedding, and while we were up there we had a chance to meet up with Rebecca and Jared in the UP for their engagement pictures! Rebecca and Jared are high schools sweethearts, and they grew up going to the USDA Iroquois Lighthouse! Shooting at locations that have meaning behind them are the best, and it ended up being the perfect location for their session for so many reasons. I may be a bit biased, but Nothern Michigan is one of the prettiest places! Fall has come early for us here in Michigan and on the day of Rebecca and Jared’s session, it felt more like October than August. Plus, we were threatened with rain, but these two were SO amazing and we were able to finish the entire session right before it started raining!

Looking back at their engagement session, it was one of those sessions that was so inspiring. Rebecca and Jared have so much history together, and you can tell just by the way they interact with each other. Their love goes so deep and capturing it couldn’t have been more incredible. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know my couples, and being able to tell their story through images!

Rebecca and Jared were one of the first couples to book me for their 2018 wedding! At the time that they booked, May 2018 seemed so far away, but now it’s only months away. Hanging out with them at the engagement session only made me even MORE excited for their upcoming wedding! I’m so thankful to be their photographer!!
