A couple weeks ago, I met up with Rose and John at the Detroit Athletic Club for their sunrise engagement session! We all were hoping for a sunny morning, so we could catch the glowy light over the city skyline as the sun rose. Thankfully, the clouds cleared for just a few minutes and we were able to have the most incredible sunrise photos!! John and Rose slowed danced on the rooftop as the sun peeked above the horizon, and it was absolutely perfect. Lets just say I’m a little obsessed with these photos.

From the Detroit Athletic Club, we walked around the city for a few street photos. After a quick outfit change, we went over to Capitol Park where John proposed to Rose! John and Rose love the city of Detroit, and wanted to showcase their love for their city in their engagement photos. Total dream couple, am I right?! One of John and Rose’s first dates was a Lafayette Coney Island and a Tigers game. Does it get anymore Detroit then that?! It felt only right to finish off their engagement session, where it all began for these two… Lafayette Coney Island. What an amazing way to end a quintessential Detroit engagement session than with a coney dog!

I’ve said it a million and one times, but I hit the jackpot with the absolute best couples! John and Rose are no exception. I had the best time with them that morning! Their Detroit wedding next June will be incredible and I can’t wait to be there to capture it all!
